To visit Dubai  as a tourist, you may be eligible for a visa-on-arrival, or you may need to apply for a pre-arranged tourist visa. Eligibility and requirements vary significantly by nationality.

Visa-on-Arrival (Visa-Free Entry):

Many nationalities can receive a free visa upon arrival at Dubai International Airport. The duration of stay depends on your passport’s country of issue. 

30-day stay (single entry): Includes countries likeAndorra, Brunei, Malaysia, Mauritius, Republic of Ireland, Ukraine, and Vatican City.

90-day stay (multiple entry, valid for 6 months from issue date): A large number of European countries, plus Australia,Canada, Japan, New Zealand, the US , and the UK, are eligible.

180-day stay (multiple entry): Mexican passport holders are eligible. 

Note: Passports must generally be valid for at least six months from the date of travel. 

Pre-arranged Tourist Visa:

  • If your nationality is not on the visa-on-arrival list, you need to arrange a visa before you travel.
  • UAE embassies do not issue tourist visas directly. Instead, you must be sponsored by one of the following:
  • Airlines: Major UAE airlines like Emirates Airline or Etihad Airways can process your visa if you book flights with them.
  • Hotels/Travel Agencies: Licensed hotels or travel agencies in the UAE can apply on your behalf, often as part of a travel package.

Important Considerations

Passport Validity : Ensure your passport has at least six months of validity.

Overstay Fines : Overstaying a tourist visa results in fines.

Entry is Subject to Approval: A valid visa does not guarantee entry; final approval rests with immigration authorities at the airport.
